Spartina patens

Spartina patens is a grass native to the coastal plain throughout the southeast. It is typically found along salt marshes, from areas submerged in water to slightly upland locations. It grows best in full sun. It can grow up to three feet tall and is evergreen. It is an essential plant of salt marshes and provides useful cover for wildlife. Spartina patens works well for restoration projects.
