Rhododendron periclymenoides

Rhododendron periclymenoides is a shrub native across the southeast. It is found primarily in moist to dry slopes and streambanks. It prefers to grow in full sun or part shade. It is drought tolerant. The showy and fragrant pink flowers bloom in late spring and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. Rhododendron periclymenoides is great for use as a specimen plant in a yard or rain garden, or for restoration projects.
