Iva frutescens

Iva frutescens is a shrub native across the southeastern coastal plain. It is naturally found in brackish marshes. It grows best in full sun sites with moist to wet soils. It can grow up to six feet tall, and has waxy evergreen leaves. Small white flowers bloom in late summer and attract pollinators. Iva frutescens is a great plant for restoration projects, or as a specimen shrub in a yard.
