Eleocharis obtusa

Eleocharis obtusa is a sedge native across the southeast, naturally found in wetland sites. It grows best in sun to part shade, on sites with wet to submerged soils. This sedge has thin green stems that grow up to one foot tall, and die back completely in the winter. It is fairly resistant to deer. Eleocharis obtusa is an excellent plant for restoration projects.
