Carex lupulina

Carex lupulina is a sedge native and widespread in the southeastern United States. It is typically found in wetland areas, and grows well in full sun to partial shade. It keeps green foliage throughout the year, and puts forth spiky seed heads in the late spring. Like any of our Carex species, Carex lupulina works well in several different applications: wetland mitigation, stream restoration, constructed wetland, or as a rain garden plant.
