Viburnum nudum

Viburnum nudum is a shrub native across the southeast, found predominantly in wetland sites. It needs wet soils to do well, and grows best in full sun to part shade. Showy clusters of small white flowers bloom in the spring and attract pollinators. Blue-black fruits ripen in the late summer and are enjoyed by birds of all sizes. It is tardily deciduous, and the leaves turn an attractive color before falling. Viburnum nudum is great for restoration projects, or as a specimen planting in a wet setting.
