Eubotrys racemosus

Eubotrys racemosus is a small native shrub occurring throughout the southeast, but most common in the coastal plain. It is found naturally in wetland habitats, and needs wet soils when cultivated. It prefers to be grown in shade or partial shade, but can grow in sun if kept moist. This plant is evergreen or tardily deciduous, depending on how cold the region is. It produces hanging, bell-shaped, white flowers in the spring that attract pollinators. Eubotrys racemosus is well suited for restoration projects or as a specimen shrub in a yard.
